Jamkhandi State was formerly Southern Maratha country (Bombay) : now in Maharashtra State, Area of State was 1,357 Sq Km, Population of State was 144,282 in 1931.Privy purse of State on the time of accession (19th Feb. 1948) was Rs.91,163.
