STATE OF UPPER YAFA STAMPS COLLECTION
The State of Upper Yafa was a historic tribal sultanate located in southern Arabia, in present-day Yemen. It formed part of the Protectorate of South Arabia under British protection. The state consisted of several semi-independent sheikhdoms led by local rulers. Despite limited central authority, it preserved its identity until 1967, when British rule ended and it became part of the independent People’s Republic of South Yemen.
