RARE QUEEN VICTORIA STAMPS
1 Anna Revenue Overprinted "SERVICE POSTAGE" in green
One of my Visitor's on blog site Mr Gregory Cooklin of Iceland inform me that he picked up an old worldwide stamps collection about 20 years ago and when he was going through that collection he found this -1869 Government of India QV revenue stamps with a "Service Postage" green overprint. And this stamps, green overprint, seems to be a rare stamps.
In 1866 QV half Anna Receipt & Bill stamps overprinted "SERVICE POSTAGE" in semicircle in green ink. Later on same overprinted is used on one Anna revenue stamps of 1869 issue.
