BELGIUM EUPEN AND MALMEDY STAMPS COLLECTION
History : Malmedy is a canton in the east of Belgium, a Western European country on the North Sea. After the 1st World War, at the beginning of 1920, the German canton of Eupen-Malmédy, together with the Belgian-German condominium Neutral Moresnet, was added to Belgium as the Government Eupen-Malmédy of New Belgium. Special stamps were issued for Eupen-Malmédy, but these were replaced after a few months by separate stamps for the Eupen postal area and the Malmédy postal area. Regular Belgian stamps were also used from mid-1921, although the Eupen-Malmedy Government was not fully integrated into Belgium until 1925.
