KRISHNA LILA : STAMPS COLLECTION ON LORD KRISHNA
India Post issued stamps on 23rd November 2023 to commemorate the 525th Birth Anniversary of Mira Bai. Born in Mewar, Meera Bai dedicated her life to Lord Krishna and became a prominent figure of the Bhakti movement. Her intense Krishna prem is expressed through soulful bhajans filled with devotion, surrender, and divine longing.
India Post issued this commemorative stamps on the Birth Centenary of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder-acharya of "ISKCON". He spread Krishna consciousness globally. ISKCON functions in over 100 countries with more than 800 temples and centers, promoting pure love and devotion to Lord Krishna, known as Krishna-prema. Date of Issue 6th September 1997
