Togo Stamps on Radha Krishna, Date of issue 1st January 2013
Krishna and Radha appear as the ruler Raja Balwant Singh’s devotional vision. Nainsukh has subtly created two contrasting worlds, one occupied by the deities and the other by their devotee, who stands at the threshold. Balwant Singh looks into Krishna’s eyes and in turn receives his Lord’s grace. The setting is a terrace of the raja’s court framed by a landscape; the orange canopy invites the viewer into the divine space of the gods, who sit on a gilded, cushioned throne. This work is tremendously powerful because Nainsukh omitted embellishment and instead focused on the essential details of the narrative scene.

Animals and birds used to die immediately after drinking the water of the river. Everyone was troubled by this problem. The people of the village did not allow their animals and children to go towards the river. Lord Krishna then created a Leela to teach a lesson to Kaliya Nag. One day Shri Krishna was playing with a ball with his friends. Then suddenly his ball fell into the river. The game stopped midway. No one was ready to take the ball because everyone knew that Kaliya Nag lives in the river. When no one was ready, Lord Krishna himself went to fetch the ball. All the friends stopped him from doing this, but Lord Krishna did not agree and jumped into the river. There was a fierce battle between Kaliya Nag and Lord Shri Krishna and Lord Shri Krishna defeated Kaliya Nag. Lord Kaliya stood on the hood of the serpent. Then he understood that this is not an ordinary child, in the end he asked God with folded hands and promised to leave the Yamuna river. When Kaliya came out of the river while dancing on the hood of the snake and playing the flute, Yashoda Mata and the entire Gokul started singing. Its author is Vedavyasa. When the armies of Kauravas and Pandavas stood in front of each other in the Mahabharata's crusade, Arjuna, seeing all his relatives in the opposition, abandoned the war and started accepting his defeat. Only then Shri Krishna preaches them and says that a person should continue to do work with a selfless spirit, he should not worry about the result.
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भू: मा ते सङ्गोस्त्वकर्मणि।।
This soul is immortal. This soul does not die even when the body is destroyed. Just as a person takes off his old clothes and puts on a new one, in the same way the soul leaves the old body and takes on a new body. The soul can neither be cut by weapons, nor can fire be lit, nor can the wind blow it. Only water can wet it. The essence of all the Vedas is contained in the Gita. It is the holy book of Hindus, and there is a demand to declare it as the national book of India.
