LORD VISHNU ON STAMPS
Vishnu is described in the Vedas as the supreme power of the whole world. The importance of Vishnu ji is highest in Sanatan. Vishnu is one of the three gods of the Trimurti. Lord Vishnu is the maintainer of the universe. Vishnu married Lakshmi, son of Bhrigu, son of Brahma. He holds Padma (Lotus) in his lower left hand, Gada (Kaumodaki) in his lower right hand, Shankha (Panchjanya) in his upper left hand and Chakra (Sudarshan) in his upper right hand. Although there are many incarnations of Vishnu in Hindu scriptures, he has 10 main incarnations. According to Hindu beliefs, whenever there is a loss of religion and upliftment of unrighteousness, then Vishnu incarnates in the form of a part for the protection of the gentlemen and the destruction of the wicked.

Laos issued a 1958 set of 4 stamps on the Inauguration of UNESCO Headquarters Building, Paris. In this one of the stamps depicts Lord Vishnu on the right side and Apsara on the left side. Date of issue 3rd November 1958.

The biggest Lord Vishnu riding Garuda Sculpture is Located inside Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park in Ungasan, Badung, on the island of Bali, Indonesia. The world’s tallest statue of a Hindu deity, the fourth-tallest statue in the world. The height of statue is 246 feet (75 meters) and the wingspan of Garuda is 219 feet. The entire structure was built from 754 modules, pieced together to form a gargantuan statue weighing more than 3 tons, with a steel frame covered in a copper and brass skin. On top of Vishnu’s head sits a 3.5-ton crown covered with gold-plated mosaics.

Lord Athi Varadhar rises from his abode the Anantha Saras temple tank in the Devaraja Swamy Temple in Kanchipuram town of Tamil Nadu, Once in every 40 years. The Previous occasion was on 1st July 2019, and Lord had given dharshan for 48 days. On this occasion Tamil Nadu Postal Circle issued a Special Cover from Kanchipuram as on 18th July 2019.

The Ninth incarnation of Lord Vishnu
Lord Vishnu, one of the Hindu Trinity, is believed to have descended to Earth in ninth different incarnations, known as avatars, to uphold dharma and restore balance in the universe.
These ten avatars are:
1. Matsya: Fish
2. Kurma: Tortoise
3. Varaha: Boar
4. Narasimha: Half-man, half-lion
5. Vamana: Dwarf
6. Parashurama: Rama with an axe
7. Rama: Prince of Ayodhya
8. Krishna: The cowherd god
9. Kalki: The future savior
The Shri Kshetra Narasimha Jhira temple, an ancient cave temple located in Bidar, is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, an avatar of Lord Vishnu. To reach the temple, devotees must traverse a 300-meter-long tunnel. Inside the cave, a magnificent self-manifested idol of Lord Narasimha is carved into the laterite wall, adding to the temple's sacredness and antiquity. India post issued a Special Cover from Bidar as on 9th January 2019.
